Amy is a daughter of Alan Jackson and Marguerita Jackson. She has an elder sister, Alicia Jackson. Her father is a BBC Radio Merseyside's producer. She studied English Language, English Literature and Philosophy and Ethics. She has shown her talent in Indian films like Telugu, Hindi and Tamil industries. She has started her modelling career in 2009 by winning the Miss Teen World competition and the Miss Liverpool title in 2010. She has made her debut in acting with Tamil drama Madharasapattinam in 2010. She has also appeared in a romantic Bollywood flick Ekk Deewana Tha in 2012, action comedy flick Singh Is Bling opposite Akshay Kumar and in Sohail Khan's film Freaky Ali. She was seen in a Telugu film Yevadu along with Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan.
